Dark amber in color, with golden and greenish reflections, this Moscatel has aromas and flavors of bitter orange jam, “marmelade”, “rancio”, very old brandy, tea, dates, fig syrup, hazelnut, honey and “vinegar”. Amazing balance between sweetness, acidity and bitterness with a refreshing sensation in the mouth. Soft, very long, unique.
The story begins with the Moscatel de Setúbal grapes from our Serra da Ursa vineyard located in the hills at the foot of Arrábida. This is the “terroir” of excellence of the great wines of DO Setúbal. The harvest ended on Thursday, October 27, 1983. We have now decided, after 40 years, to bottle a limited edition of 200 0.5L bottles of the same original wine. The future will tell when the next bottling of this extraordinary harvest will be.
